Delhi Police recruitment Exam dates announced , 2025

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC)  has released the exam dates for four Delhi Police recruitment exam dates announced . These include Constable (Driver, Executive) and Head Constable (Ministerial, AWO/TPO).  The first Constable (Driver) exam will be held on December 16 and 17, 2025. The Constable Driver recruitment exam will be held on December 16 and 17, 2025, while the Constable Executive (Male and Female) exam will be held from December 18, 2025, to January 6, 2026. The Head Constable (Ministerial) exam will be held from January 7 to 12, 2026, and the Head Constable (Assistant Wireless Operator – AWO/Teleprinter Operator TPO) exam will be held from January 15 to 22, 2026.

What will be the exam pattern?

The Delhi Police Constable (Driver) recruitment process will fill 737 vacancies. The computer-based examination will include 20 questions each from General Awareness and General Intelligence, 10 questions from Numerical Ability, and 50 questions from Road Sense, Vehicle Maintenance, Traffic Rules, Signals, and Vehicle Safety. There will be 100 questions carrying a total of 100 marks, with a negative marking of 0.25%.

 Delhi Police recruitment exam , 2025 Successful candidates will then be called for PE & MT and document verification. The final merit list will be released after the trade test and medical examination.

The Constable (Executive) category has the highest number of vacancies at 7565. The computer-based written examination for this recruitment will include 50 questions from General Knowledge/Current Affairs, 25 from Reasoning, 15 from Numerical Ability, and 10 from the Computer section. The exam will be 90 minutes long and will also have a negative marking of 0.25.

Following the exam, successful candidates in both recruitments will be required to undergo a physical examination and medical test. Only after completing these stages will the final merit list be released, which concludes the recruitment process.

The Delhi Police Constable syllabus includes four main sections:

General Knowledge/Current Affairs, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, and Computer Knowledge. General Knowledge covers a wide range of topics including Indian history, polity, geography, economics, and current events. The Reasoning section tests analytical and logical skills through topics like coding-decoding and blood relations. Numerical Ability focuses on quantitative topics such as percentages, profit & loss, and time & work. The Computer Knowledge section includes basics of computer hardware, software, MS Office, and the internet.

2. Reasoning

  • Topics: Similarities and differences, decision making, spatial visualization, arithmetic reasoning, number series, observation, relationship concepts, coding and decoding, and verbal and figure classification.
  • Focus: Analytical and logical thinking skills, including non-verbal reasoning. 

3. Numerical Ability

  • Topics: Number system, percentages, ratio and proportion, average, interest, profit and loss, mensuration, time and distance, and time and work.
  • Focus: Basic arithmetic and problem-solving skills. 

4. Computer Knowledge

  • Topics: Basics of computer hardware and software, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet usage and browsing, cyber security, and computer abbreviations and shortcuts.
  • Focus: Basic computer literacy and related applications.
